Most flexible prints can be finished with pressure-sensitive or heated-roll lamination to increase the durability of your print. Lamination not only protects the prints from moisture, but also helps resist fading over time for longer lasting graphics. With or without lamination, prints can be mounted to a wide variety of in-stock materials or even to supplied board.

Bay Imagery is one of the few shops in the region that can laminate prints up to 72″ wide using our Pro-Tech Orca 80.

Many flat rigid boards, up to a maximum dimension of 5 feet by 10 feet and up to 2 inches in thickness, can be die-cut to any custom shape with or without a print attached. The board rests on a special bed and secured in place using vacuum while a computer accurately controls an automated router assembly to precisely follow the cutting path of the design contour.

Our router cutting capabilities have proved very popular with our customers in assisting them in developing truly unique designs that standout in a crowd. We also designed our own custom line of heavy duty easels made from PVC. They were created specifically to securely hold upright most oversized display boards and cutouts for a very professional appearance.

To ensure precision accuracy, all ovals and circles required for any job are cut on our router–not by hand as some shops must resort to.

In addition to our 5′ x 10′ CNC flatbed router cutter, Bay Imagery also offers laser cutting and engraving services for more specialized applications.

The laser is perfectly suited for cutting dimensional letters and shapes from cast acrylic. Virtually any vector outline, not exceeding the table size of 18″ x 24″, can be sent to the laser for cutting. The laser beam will follow cutting paths very precisely, normally not varying more than .001″. Moreover, the heat generated by the laser beam will render the cut edges of most cast acrylic to appear as if they have been polished.

We can also print and mount a design to a substrate such as acrylic, poster board or wood, then precisely contour cut the design using the laser. This method is ideal for instances involving logos, custom colors or specialty design themes.

For specialized marking or labeling applications, the laser can easily engrave most acrylics, wood, leather and many plastics. Perfect for applications such as identification plates, nameplates, name tags, desk plates, door signs and architectural signage to name a few.

Etching anodized coated aluminum is also a task the laser handles extremely well. Anodized aluminum provides for a professional and custom look and custom blank pieces are available in many shapes and sizes ready to mark with a laser. The laser simply burns away the anodized layer exposing the aluminum color underneath in producing a clear and legible marking.

Clear cast acrylic also marks well using a laser. The etching process produces a very nicely contrasting white frosted appearance. A technique used extensively in the awards industry for personalizing custom plaques and ornaments.
